On May 2, the District of Barriere held a special council meeting to approve an amendment to the municipal tax rates that had already passed the first three readings at the April 16 council meeting. Due to an error on the assessment value for the Utility Class, the adjustment required to correct the error caused the rates to reduce slightly for all the classes.
