The Barriere and District Heritage Society have received $12,000 dollars from a BC 150 grant to build a replica of a pioneer rural school.  The Provincial funding was offered to museums and heritage sites to create lasting legacies in their communities, and to mark the 150th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation.
