Another successful Red Cross Swim Program in Barriere finished recently with excellent instructor Hannah Feller teaching in Kershaw’s and Feller’s backyard pools. Kicking and bubble blowing practice are pictured here. Over 100 youngsters from ages one to 15 took part this year. A big thank was given to the pool owners, the North Thompson Activity Centre for taking registrations, Barriere Outdoor Club facilitator Colleen Christensen, and Paul Morris of Quality Contractors for donating “porta potties” for each of the two weeks. Barriere children are fortunate to have the opportunity to learn this important life skill within their own community.
