Pet photos with Santa raises funds for SPCA

Local Real Estate Agent, Maureen Chester, of Royal LePage Westwin Realty (Barriere), is also a talented photographer. This year she hosted her second annual ‘Fur Babies With Santa Pictures’ event as a fundraiser for the Kamloops SPCA. The North Thompson Fall Fair donated a hall, the Barriere Lions Club provided their ‘Santa’ chair for the event, and of course the jolly old elf Santa found time to help as well.

This year she hosted her second annual ‘Fur Babies With Santa Pictures’ event as a fundraiser for the Kamloops SPCA. The North Thompson Fall Fair donated a hall, the Barriere Lions Club provided their ‘Santa’ chair for the event, and of course the jolly old elf Santa found time to help as well. Chester reports numerous people turned up with their pets for pictures with Santa, and $208 was collected taking the photographs. She has also personally matched that amount for a grand total of $416 going to the SPCA. (Maureen Chester photo)
