Rain no damper to Halloween fun at ball park

Halloween get together and fireworks at the Barriere Ball Park was well attended despite the weather

Despite the rain that poured down all day on Monday, the Halloween get together and fireworks display at the Barriere Ball Park was well attended, and the rain even slowed down to a light drizzle.

The concession did a booming business and ran out of hot dogs before the event was over.

Thanks to the Barriere Fire Department for the awesome fireworks display which drew “oooohs” and “ahhhs” from the crowd.

The costume contest  was kindly judged by the North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo Association Ambassador Sara Sabyan  and Vice Ambassador Gerri Lee Genier.

First prize went to a young giraffe by the name of Care Hysolp (pictured), and second place winner was Captain America (Ethan Zimmerman) pictured here with NTFFRA Ambassador Sara Sabyan  and Vice Ambassador Gerri Lee Genier.

Thanks to the Fire Department, the District of Barriere, those who ran the concessions and helped out, and especially to all the folks and youngsters who turned up to participate.
