Back in March of this year (2017) Tiffany and Keith Weninger, along with their two kids, Merrick and Mikaela, became the new owners of the Rivermount Motel B&B and RV Park.

The B&B is located north of Barriere, just off the Yellowhead Highway on Hummingbird Road, and right next to the North Thompson River.

The Weninger family originally lived in Alberta, where Tiffany worked as an education assistant and Keith still works in the oil and gas industry. This is their first venture as the owner of a B&B.

“We wanted to move into British Columbia where it is warmer,” stated Tiffany, “This is a beautiful area.”

They are renovating the entire motel, having just finished the entry lobby and the dining area, and they are currently working on the eight rooms.

“We hope to be done by around April, 2018,” says Tiffany.

The restaurant is only for those staying at the B&B, but they will have an ice cream shack called “Missymoo”, which should be open to the general public by May.

“Thank you to all who have welcomed us to the area,” said Tiffany, “And if you are looking for an easy way to get hold of us, check out our facebook page - www.facebook.com/rivermountmotel.”
