So much to do and so little volunteers

Spaghetti Dinner on Oct. 17, at the Seniors Hall in Barriere, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

What do you do when the group you belong to only has a few active members who want to raise some funds for a particular project? Well, one thing to do is to join forces with another group.  That is what the Lower North Thompson Catholic Women’s League is doing - joining together with the District of Barriere Seniors Society.

The two groups will be holding a Spaghetti Dinner on Oct. 17, at the Seniors Hall in Barriere, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  The cost will be $8 per person, or $20 per family and will get you a heaped plate of spaghetti (with sauce, of course), salad and garlic toast, plus a little bit of dessert.  There will also be some pies and other goodies for sale, for you to take home for enjoying later.

Profits from the dinner will be split between the two groups.  Everyone in the community is encouraged to come out and support these groups.
