The 1st Annual ‘Spin In’ was held on Apr. 10 at the Blue Jar Coffee Bar and Bistro in Barriere.  Forty-one  people took part, coming from many communities including Kamloops and 100 Mile House for the all day event.

The day was filled with spinning (knitting for some), visiting, and a great sharing of ideas, techniques and everything related to fiber arts.

Three fiber art vendors were also on site; Melanie Stutt, Mary Ann Smith, and Ann Carmichael.

Everyone agreed it was a “fabulous event” and that organizer Darlene Hagen had done “a great job”; so much so that attendees are already asking, “When will the 2nd Annual Spin In take place?”

“I was impressed with the setup and the turn-out,” said area resident Elli Kohnert, who stopped it to see the Spin In. “What a great event - there was hardly room to walk through to the end of the room.  So many happy faces, busy hands and everyone having a good time visiting.”
