After 18 years as the postmaster of Barriere, we are about to say a fond farewell to Jean St. Pierre.
Before she and husband, Jacques moved to Barriere in 1993, Jean worked as postmaster in Lone Butte for 14 years.
The Barriere Post Office staff wish them well in their retirement to the Okanagan, and ask area residents to join with staff on April 1, for a customer appreciation and goodbye celebration for Jean at the post office. Cake and coffee will be available between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
