Start Getting Ready For The 2015 North Thompson Fall Fair & Rodeo

Time to get your fall fair hay entries ready for analysis

For those of you who grow grains, grasses, and hay, check out section three in the Fall Fair catalog - Field Crops, Grain & Fodder.  This is where you will find the right categories to enter samples of your crop.

There are categories for all sorts of grains and grasses: alfalfa, clover, orchard grass, reed canary grass, brome grass, and timothy.

This section is also where you can enter your different types of potatoes, as well as turnips, baled hay and silage.  This is also the section that will get you into the Halloween mode - that lovely pumpkin you’ve been thinking of entering?  Or that giant sunflower head that you are so proud of?

Hay entries close on August 12, livestock entries will close on August 22,  other entries will close on August 28, and light horse entries August 29.

For a complete list of categories, pick up your copy of the North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo catalog at area businesses, the Star/Journal, or at the Fall Fair office in the Barriere IDA mall. The Fair office will be open Wednesday through Saturday from Aug. 12 to Aug. 29. Hours:  Wed. to Fri. 10 am - 4 pm; and Sat. 10 am - 1 pm.

You can also go to: www.fallfair-rodeo.com where you will find the catalogue online.
