The Thunder Alley 9th Annual Stomp’n Toy Run took place in Barriere last Saturday with well over 50 bikes taking part.

Riders gathered in front of AG Foods, enjoyed coffee from the Barriere Food Bank table, and then moved out on the run. The bikes toured around area subdivisions collecting donations of cash, or toys and gifts for kids and teens, for the Food Bank’s Christmas Hamper program which they have  supported for nine years.

The run ended in Bradford field (across from Bradford Park), where fun bike games took place throughout the afternoon; then a dinner and dance at the Legion.

Total raised in cash from the run, games, etc., comes to $8,273. Organizers Barb and Paul Morris, and Stacey and Al Fortin thanked everyone who helped and supported this event.

We’ll have more in our Sept. 8 issue.
