Stuff the Cruiser event hosted by the Barriere RCMP this year

The annual Stuff the Cruiser event will take place on Thursday Dec. 5 at the AG Foods parking lot to benefit families in the North Thompson.

The annual ‘Stuff the Cruiser’ is taking place on Thursday Dec. 5 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at AG Foods shopping centre in Barriere.

AG Foods will once again be offering pre-made grab bags to purchase and donate, and IDA pharmacy will be offering 25 percent off toys during the event.

Join in the holidays spirit and support the local RCMP, the Interior Savings team and the Barriere Food Bank who will be onsite by bringing an unwrapped gift or non-perishable food item to stuff inside the police cruiser. All food donations will go to the Barriere Food Bank and the toy donations will be donated within the North Thompson Valley.

This year the ‘Stuff the Cruiser’ is being hosted by the local Barriere RCMP with Cpl. Kyle Camalush and his team rolling up their sleeves for this annual event.

In previous years the event was coordinated by the Barriere Chamber of Commerce (BCOC).

“We are grateful to Cpl. Camalush and his team for taking over the ‘Stuff the Cruiser’ event this year,” said Lianne Hamblin BCOC Office Administrator, adding, “Due to the increased size of the Community Christmas Dinner hosted by chamber things have changed. This event was brought to Barriere by the Chamber of Commerce, and it has been going strong for six years now. We could not do this without you, our beautiful community. So please continue to support this event. The Chamber will be onsite to help out with the event, so please stop in and for the kids, the RCMP safety bear will be onsite, so we are hoping families will come down and get their picture taken with him when they drop by.”

The Stuff the Cruiser fundraiser community partners this year are:

AG Foods

Interior Savings

The Barriere Food Bank

Barriere and Area Chamber of Commerce

Armour Mountain

Barriere RCMP

“We are so thankful to live in such a wonderfully generous community and look forward to seeing everyone there to stuff the cruiser to ensure families have a great holiday this year once again,” said Hamblin.
