The 2011 Summer Reading Club at the Barriere Library held their windup party on August 18, with crafts, cake and goodies, and ribbons and medals for all the young readers.
During the summer months there have been weekly draws, and the librarian advise those parents whose child may have entered these should check the poster at the library for the list of winners.
There were two age groups in the Reading Club; ages seven to12 received medals, and the “Read to Me” group, ages four to six, were presented with ribbons.
Those receiving medals and ribbons were excited about their successful summer reading program. A few other children were also in attendance and enjoying the festivities.
