Interior Health is advising Barriere and area residents that drop-in outpatient nursing services will be temporarily closed at the Barriere and District Health Centre starting Friday, May 13, 2022.
Normal operations are hoped to be resumed on Monday, May 16, 2022, at 8:30 a.m.
Anyone requiring emergency service should visit one of the following facilities during this time period:
• Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital and Health Centre, 640 Park Drive RR#1, Clearwater (60 km away)
• Royal Inland Hospital, 311 Columbia Street, Kamloops (64 km away)
Outpatient nursing services in Barriere are typically open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
