Congratulations to Liam Waller on receiving the Barriere First Responders Society’s Recognition For Outstanding Dedication award. Waller is one of the society’s newset recruits and is shown here receiving the award last month from board member Azriel Kowtec.
Previous recipients of the award since it’s inception have been; Azriel Kowtek, DrewMcMartin, Antoon Houben, and Mikael Kjselstrom.
“Liam has become an integral part of our society,” said Kowtec, “Always making himself available to assist. It’s extremely rewarding to have such excellent volunteers choose our organization.”
Barriere First Responders is a non-for-profit society that provides emergency medical care to patients per the request of the British Columbia Ambulance Service. First Responders are trained to provide basic life saving procedures that are critical to patients life and safety when a Ambulance delay is inevitable. The society responds to approximately 100 calls annually in the District of Barriere and surrounding area. The society has no source of funding and strictly does fundraisers for funds to buy restock, equipment, fuel, insurance, and training supplies. You can find them on Facebook or call; (778) 220-6542.
