On Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the Lions Gazebo in Fadear Park, the Barriere Lions Club presented commemorative thank you plaques to 27 area essential service groups and businesses who have remained open and available for residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. Plaque recipients are: Barriere Auto & Truck Tow, Barriere Motor Inn, Barriere Auto Parts, Barriere A&W, Barriere Search & Rescue, Barriere Food Bank, Barriere RCMP, Barriere Petro Can, Barriere Liquor Store, Barriere Country Feeds, North River Towing Ltd., Barriere Esso, Barriere Fire Department, Barriere AG Foods, Barriere First Responders, Interior Savings Insurance, Interior Savings Credit Union, Sam’s Pizza, T&T Liquidation, Armour Mountain Office Services Ltd., Insight Tire, Barriere Subway, Barriere Ambulance, Barriere Medical Clinic, Barriere IDA Pharmacy, Barriere Timbermart, and Act 1 Services.
