My name is Crystal Chenier and my husband's name is Gary Chenier. We have kind of a love story remembering our favourite Valentine's Day. We met in Barriere in 1983. I worked for Ministry of Highways from 1976 to 2013. Gary was a bus driver. We went to Squamish in 1986 together and married in 1987. We worked many places and moved back to Barriere in 2013 to retire. Our 38th Anniversary is Feb 21. We love our little town of Barriere and there are such a kind people here and it's a beautiful place to live. Valentine's Day is always spent around people we love.
We miss our emergency room in Barriere and it's one reason we moved back to Barriere because we are getting older it was so nice not to have to go to Kamloops E.R. You never know, maybe it might come back to Barriere. We are staying positive. Love our lakes here because you can go in any direction and you can find a lake! Barriere is paradise.
