• June 28th – Legion Week Community BBQ and RCMP Bike Rodeo hosted by the Barriere Legion and the Barriere RCMP. Bike Rodeo scheduled from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Legion BBQ scheduled from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.
• July 1st – Canada Day Celebration hosted by the District of Barriere. Event scheduled for 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. Invitations to various dignitaries to provide traditional greetings have been sent with confirmations being received so far from Cathy McLeod MP and Terry Lake MLA. Children’s activities are being arranged and music has been scheduled to entertain all ages.
• July 3 – Barriere Bandshell Fridays hosted by the District of Barriere and sponsored by Defiance Ent. Inc., Gabion Wall Systems, and Jerek Enterprises Ltd. This season of music in the park on Fridays in the months of July and August kicks off at 7 p.m., and will run until 9 p.m. There will be some early starts at 6:30 p.m., to accommodate extra area talent such as the String Band comprised of music students from Barriere and Clearwater on July 17. Bill Fowler will be providing the sound engineering for this annual event once again this year. Watch the District’s website for the season’s line up.
• July 5 – Emergency Services Appreciation Barbecue hosted by Barriere’s emergency service departments. Event scheduled from 4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.
