Eight people turned out for the Lower North Thompson Catholic Women’s League (CWL) Adopt-a-Street cleanup on August 27. Several times a year, CWL members, along with family and friends, get together to pick up garbage along Barriere Town Road from the high school to the highway, with a picnic lunch or dinner afterwards. Any school age children who take part receive a certificate acknowledging their participation in the clean up.
