The Barriere and District Chamber of Commerce’s Discover China 2015 program was instigated through a partnership with Citslinc International, which is offering the local community and businesses an opportunity to travel to China.  Citslinc owner, Leo Lui, presented the Chamber and the District of Barriere with a replica of a Terra Cotta Warrior during the Mar. 16, Discover China information meeting held at the Ridge.

The plaque on the warrior states Lui donated the statue as a symbol of the partnership between China and Barriere.  It also states, “The Terracotta Army or the “Terracotta Warriors and Horses” is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China.  It is a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210-209 BCE and whose purpose was to protect the emperor in his afterlife.”
