Pictured is the new executive for the Yellowhead 4-H Club for the 2012 year: Back row (l to r) Sara Smith - sheep safety officer

My name is Christine Kempter and I’m excited to introduce myself as the new Yellowhead 4-H reporter.

The members of the Yellowhead 4-H Club had their first meeting of the year on Jan. 5, 2012.

Elections were held and positions were filled as follows:

Our newly elected president is Hannah Feller.  Jacob Peterson was voted in as vice-president, and we have Nicole Huber elected as our secretary.  Alexander Peterson kept his position as treasurer,  and Christine Kempter is the reporter.

The safety officers elected were:

Dustin Pawloff in the beef division, Sarah-Kate Smith in the sheep division, and Kiera Eustache in the photography division.

We’re excited to see photography return to the club after a two year absence.  We are honoured to have Mr. Dennis Farquharson back as the photography leader.

The Yellowhead 4-H Speech Day will be held on Feb. 19, 2012, at 12:30 p.m., at the Lions Hall in Barriere. Everyone in the community is invited to come and watch this entertaining event.
