Yellowhead 4-H Club Reporters

Not only does spring bring flowers and showers, it also brings our annual 4-h public speaking!

As you may know we have already held our club speech day recently on April 3.

We had our club demo and speak and show day. We met at the fall fair grounds. For the first time in a couple of years we got to watch these events in person. Everyone did a wonderful job practicing and performing their topics.

These are the winners:

Juniors: 1st place went to Isabell Maddocks-Puetz and Audrina Allen with their demo on unicorn mane and tail spray.

Seniors: 1st place went to Isabella MacDougall and Tessa Salle on how to be more mindful.

Senior Speak and Show:

1st place to Logan Jones on how to change a tire

2nd place to Hannah Kershaw on banding a sheep

3rd place to Harmony Trommeshauser on making horse treats

The demo winners moved on to Districts, and they presented in Kamloops on April 9. Both the senior and the junior Yellowhead 4-H demonstration teams placed first and will now be moving on to Regionals.

Regionals will take place in Kelowna on May 14. Good luck to them moving forward!

Happy spring everyone!
