At first glance the room looked as if a disaster had struck; first aid equipment was spread everywhere, and seemingly injured people were being given first aid by those in attendance.

The North Thompson Volunteer and Information Centre (NTVIC) have applied for a Pepsi Refresh Grant to build a Splash Park in Fadear Park. This grant is a great opportunity to improve our community and will rely on the participation of the members of the community by way of voting online.

Barriere Elementary School held their Honour Roll Assembly on Friday, Dec. 3, to recognize those students who have achieved well during the first term.

Several important decisions were made at the Nov. 21, North Thompson Valley Garden Club meeting. Membership dues, which are due in January at the AGM, must be received no later than March 31, 2011. Any dues not received at that time will result in the individual being taken off the membership and contact list.

Patients can now have their voices heard on specific drug reviews, thanks to a website launched by the Ministry of Health Services.
