Get out of the winter blah’s and into a good book. There are lots of new titles to choose from at the Barriere Library, as well as a wide variety of DVD’s and audio books.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s 2011 Report on Canadians’ Health warns that nine out of 10 Canadians are jeopardizing the quality and length of their lives. The Foundation found that many Canadians are in denial about their risk factors for heart disease such as being overweight and being physically inactive − risk factors they can manage and control.

Shawn and Suzie Fadear said they were amazed at the overwhelming response they received from their invitation to meet them as the new owners of the Irly Building Centre in Barriere over coffee and donuts on Feb. 1st.
