This is going to be short and sweet; short that is, but not especially sweet because with Christmas closing in on me I haven’t a hope of getting everything done in time. Being a grandma is really rough on grandpeople, because the brain slows down as the numbers add up, and the capacity to keep the mind on the right track slows too.

What’s happening on the first day of 2011?

Yellowhead Pioneer Home residents gathered recently to enjoy their annual Christmas dinner in a beautifully decorated dining room at the home. There was an abundance of animated conversation, and the excellent food was obviously enjoyed by all.

At first glance the room looked as if a disaster had struck; first aid equipment was spread everywhere, and seemingly injured people were being given first aid by those in attendance.
