The Yellowhead 4-H club is again enjoying strong enrollment with 57 members in Beef, Sheep, Goat, Rabbit/ Cavie, and Photography projects. The 16 photography members are learning public speaking, teamwork, safety and photography skills all the while building self confidence through their activities.
The winners of their most recent photo contest ‘something Green’ were Dylan Matthews and Josh Tremblay, with pre-clubbers Zoe Kershaw and Grace Farrow placing first and second in their division.
The members are working on getting a sale photo ready for display at the North Thompson Fall Fair, and then after that the BC Ag Expo, both at the Agriplex in Barriere this September.
At the Ag Expo, members will auction off their Sale photo during the Live Auction held Monday, Sept. 24, where there will be beef, sheep, goat, carcass and photo projects for sale.
