Nominations now open for BCWF awards

The B.C. Wildlife Federation (BCWF) is British Columbia’s leading conservation organization with 43,000 members and 100 rod and gun, and fish and game clubs represented. They advocate for anglers, hunters, outdoor recreationists, firearms owners and recreational shooters. BCWF is made up of province-wide volunteers working to protect, enhance and promote wise use of the environment for the benefit of present and future generations, while also striving to ensure sound long-term management of B.C.’s fish, wildlife, and outdoor recreational resources.

Each year the BCWF offers a number of annual awards to honour individual members and member clubs for outstanding achievements in regards to hunting, angling, and conservation achievements within the province.

Nominations are now underway for the 2021 year, with the awards to be presented at the BCWF’s 66th annual AGM and Convention on April 21 – 23, 2022.

The deadline for nominations for the following awards is Feb. 14, 2022:

*Art Downs Memorial Award

*Barsby Trophy Conservationist of the Year

*Bert Palmer Memorial Big Game Award

*Wild Sheep Foundation Silver Buckle Awards

*BCWF Youth Big Game Award

*Frank Shannon Junior Conservation Award

*Lee Straight Fishing Award

*Roderick Haig-Brown Project Award

*BCWF Youth Fishing Award
