To the Editor,
Hoo hoo hoo hoo Morneau has got to go!!
Well, someone had to pay for the WE thing so Bill Morneau is as good a candidate as any in this time of scandal and misrule!
As to his time as Finance Minister, well, that can be left to posterity! As to the pipeline, it would have been nice if Justin Trudeau had simply come out and stated, “I’m buying this pipeline becaue Stephen Harper painted me into a corner by signing a secretive so-called ‘Free Trade Deal’ with the Chinese that guaranteed a pipeline twinning from the ‘Tarsands to Tidewater.’”
If we don’t build it, we will have to pay billions in fines, etc., but when did honesty and openness play any role in any of these “free trade” agreements?
According to Deutsche Welle (German Public Radio), corporations suing various countries for lost future profits has become a racket all in itself!
For the moment, despite all of Trudeau’s fumblings, I’m going to be somewhat of the Devil’s advocate. When the Trudeau government first took power, all it had to do was reverse some of Harper’s nasty meanness. This was good for at least six months or more.
More recently, the Liberals restored the life-saving station at Kitsilano — Harper had shut it down. More tax breaks for his needy rich supporters. To Hell with the fishermen and Mariners, they are on their own!
Also more recently, the Trudeau government restored the rail line to Churchill. Can’t blame that one on Harper! (too bad)
It was Chretien who sold the whole works, including the Port for a dollar to some Vulture Capitalists (Omnitrax) for the U.S. of A.
These ‘fly by nights’ simply walked away when the rail tracks to Churchill washed out!
So it hasn’t been all bad and who wants to see any of those four “losers,” one of whom will take over from climate change denier Scheer, step into power?!
What a horrible thought!
