British Columbia is looking for three individuals to represent the province as BC Ambassadors, and one of the candidates is Barriere’s own Katelyn Bonin.  Katelyn was a past ‘Miss Barriere Lions’ in the North Thompson Fall Fair Queen Pageant.  Now she is busily seeking donations and sponsorships to qualify for selection as one of three BC Ambassadors.  The funds she raises will also qualify her to receive financial assistance with her post-secondary education if she is selected.

Barriere Lions run Pancake Breakfasts, Wood Sales and Book Fairs to raise funds to support local programs such as camperships for underprivileged youth, bursaries for students and support for individuals and families in need. For further information or to inquire about membership in the Barriere Lions Club, please call Mr. Barry Pick, president at 250-672-5664 evenings.
