A group of 12 individuals gathered together on Saturday, Nov. 12, at Bethany Baptist Church in Barriere, to fill 47 Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Shoe Boxes with many items and fun things for children. The group then ended their volunteer day enjoying tea and goodies. To date, Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child has collected and distributed over 135 million shoebox gifts worldwide. In 2015, Canadians donated more than 730,000 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes for hurting children around the world.
