Another fun Yellowhead 4-H Club event took place on April 23 at the Mitchell Ranch.

At the beginning we were split up into seven groups, each with a member who had experience with judging. There were various judging stations that included beef, sheep, goat and photography. The groups worked well and we practiced both written and oral judging.

Members in the group worked together to complete there judging cards. Near the end each group played a 4-H Jeopardy game. The group with the most points won a prize which was given out at the end.

There was also a bag of prizes that were thrown into the air for members to catch.

We 4-Hers know how to work hard and also have a good time.

On April 29 we attended the District Judging Rally in Kamloops at the Livestock Co-op.

Some 200 4-Hers had gathered to compete, with each member receiving their own judging cards for each class they judge.

A few of our club members also brought educational displays. Senior club members, Levi Kempter and Josh Trembley, presented their demonstration on ‘’How to make Frisney Hosen Beaver Tails’’, and they did really well – and so did everyone else.

Awards were presented at the end of the day.
