It was only a few years ago when chiropractor Zacharry Paul moved to the Barriere area and opened the Backwoods Chiropractic clinic just off the Yellowhead Highway. At the time Paul stated he and his wife loved the area and were excited to be starting a new business, and setting up their own hobby farm in an area can take advantage of the winter sports they love.
It had been quite some time since Barriere had access to a chiropractic clinic within the community, but since the opening of Paul’s clinic area residents have been supportive of the new enterprise.
The business has done well, so much so that Paul also launched a Backwoods Chiropractic clinic in Clearwater as well.
“We‘re now on track to get some new and exciting services up and running by the end of the year at both the Barriere and Clearwater locations,” tells Paul, “Our biggest and most exciting addition will be Thai massage in Barriere. Since our Barriere clinic does not offer RMT [Registered Massage Therapist] services, this will be a nice addition for people to get deep tissue work done at a good price point especially for those patients without extended health benefits.”
Paul adds his Backwoods Chiropractic Clearwater clinic has recently teamed up with Lattin Massage (of Barriere) to offer both chiropractic and RMT services for the Clearwater area.
“Additionally, in the future, the Clearwater office will be happy to offer RMT services by two additional local massage therapists which will allow Monday-Saturday services soon,” said Paul.
How the their farm is coming along?
“In our spare time my family works on our hobby farm, and recently we had over 30 piglets born on the property! We love being in the outdoors and are excited to enter the ski season soon.”
