Barriere a small community with big hearts donates to Nicky's Red Wagon

Nicky's Red Wagon Campaign has been giving back to the community of Barriere in memory Nicholas Gummett who passed away at 15 in 2005.

During the month of December Nicky’s Red Wagon at Interior Savings Insurance in Barriere received 124 AG Foods Hamper Bags and a $20 cash donation. Nicky's mom, Kathy Grummett stopped by to add her donation to the gits for Nicky's Wagon in memory of her son on Dec. 13.

Nicky’s Red Wagon campaign has been a fundraising event for the Barriere Food Bank since 2005. It’s a place to drop off Christmas gifts and food to benefit those accessing the local food bank services.

Nicholas “Nicky” Robert Grummett passed away in 2005 at the age of 15. Volunteering and fundraising were important to the teen, who at a very early age organized a fundraiser for the local food bank. Nicky’s Red Wagon is a compassionate legacy in remembrance of this giving local teen.

Nicky’s Wagon was filled with toys and gifts four times along with $740 from Barriere 4-H Club received to purchase toys to Stuff the Cruiser on behalf of Nicky’s Red Wagon.The local IDA Drug Store gave an us 40 percent discount as an added bonus that helped us with the toy purchasing.
