The first significant snowfall for the Barriere area arrived late in the evening of Monday, Nov. 10, and continued
on into early Tuesday morning. Reports of anywhere from five to 15 centimeters were reported in the
Lower North Thompson, but once the sun came out it quickly started to melt. Early morning commuters
however found the roads and highway “extremely treacherous” and many commented that Kamloops
roads were “a sheet of ice”. If you haven’t done so already, now is the time to get those snow tires on your
vehicle. (Jill Hayward photo)
