Commuters on Highway 5 have been experiencing delays in both directions since early October while rock slope stabilization takes place on Highway 5 south of Barriere between Carilla Road and Clough Road in an area known as Fishtrap Canyon. The stabilization has also involved blasting which shut down the highway for a number of hours two weeks ago. This photo was taken last Thursday showing workers high above the road as they moved into place to attach mesh along the rock face. Drive BC shows the project is expected to continue until Nov. 4.
