The North Thompson Fall Fair & Rodeo Association (NTFFRA) will be celebrating an amazing 75 years of fairs this coming Labour Day weekend. We are looking forward to another exciting year this year.
The Ambassador candidates that represent the NTFFRA in and around our community are extending an invitation to all past Queens, Princesses, Ambassadors, and candidates, to join in a reunion float in the Saturday Parade. They will also be welcoming instructors, coordinators and anyone who has been involved in any capacity over the years to join in the gathering. The girls would love to hear all the stories and experiences from years gone by and see how this long-standing program has evolved.
The Ambassador presentation evening this year, is slated to run August 24 at the Fall Fair Hall in Barriere. This year’s candidates Jayde Nickel, Alexis Amos, and Morgan Wohlgemuth are working hard to prepare for the evening and look forward to representing the NTFFRA in the coming year.
Many of the programs they attend are in auto maintenance, public speaking, resume writing, interview skills, financial planning, personal empowerment, business etiquette, body image and nutrition. They also spend time volunteering and helping in the community along the way. The program over the years has grown into a great stepping stone for young ambassadors to prepare for the future, and the commitment these candidates face is not an easy road, but the benefits are very rewarding. We wish the girls this year much success in their journey.
Excitement is the air as we approach our annual North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo, and we are waiting to hear from you!
We realize a lot of dedicated people continue to spend many volunteer hours each year to keep this program viable and interesting to our youth and we appreciate their support and hope to continue for many years to come.
