Barriere Curling Club hosts successful B.C. Stick Curling Championship

Barriere Curling Club hosted the B.C. Stick Curling Championships from February 6 through 8 at the Barriere Curling Club arena

Barriere Curling Club (BCC) welcomed  teams from Kamloops, Armstrong, Kelowna, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Prince George, Penticton and Summerland during the recent B.C. Stick Curling Championships from February 6 through 8 at the Barriere Curling Club arena located at the North Thompson Fall Fair grounds. 

"The weekend's events were really exciting and so much fun," said Bernice Randrup, director with the BCC, "It was a really successful event!"

In Canada, stick curling and wheelchair curling are very popular. Curling has been a medal sport in the Olympic Winter Games since 1998.
