Prizes for pots, pins, putts and placing

I am proof positive that you can have a very bad game and still go home a winner. My final score on Tuesday, July 20, was dismal to say the least but I did get a birdie on Hole 1 and a chip-in on Hole 7 which earned me two sizable pots. I went home with a smile on my face.

I am proof positive that you can have a very bad game and still go home a winner. My final score on Tuesday, July 20, was dismal to say the least but I did get a birdie on Hole 1 and a chip-in on Hole 7 which earned me two sizable pots. I went home with a smile on my face.

Keep in mind that I have such a great time with the lovely ladies of Chinook Cove Ladies Night that I always go home with a smile on my face but this week I also had some “change to jingle in my jeans”.

Other pot winners were Marian Wallace (birdie in Flight 1), Jeannie Webber (chip-in Flight 3) and Lois McInnis (chip-in Flight 4).

Forty ladies golfed and many of them went home with prizes for pots, pins, putts and placing (gross or net). Louise Lodge had a lovely 41 to win low gross in Flight 1.

Visitor Dee Dhaliwal won low net along with numerous pin prizes for a long putt, a long drive and a KP (Barriere IDA, Rainer Custom Cutting, and Barb and Carman Smith). Low gross in Flight 2 went to Deb Rainer with a 50 while Babes Shanko had low net by retro with a 53 (36.5). Lori Chambers scored 50 to win low gross in Flight 3 and Cathy Paul was close on her heels with a 51 (33) to win low net. Low score in Flight 4 was a 56 for Sue Meger while Betty Foote came in second with a 59. EBL Ventures sponsored Flight 3 and Stamer Logging sponsored Flight 4.

Long drives earned prizes for Evelyn Lucas (Sam’s Pizza), Mary Van Sickle (Station House Restaurant) and Lois McInnis (Sun Life Financial/Ainsley Gullage).

Long drive in 2 winners were Donna Salle (AG Foods), Susan Bondar (Armour Mountain Bookkeeping), Deb Winiski (Barriere Motor Inn), and Rose Seymour (Barriere Timber Mart). KPs on the par 3 holes were won by Donna Salle (Cindy Leibel of Westwin Realty), Deb Rainer (MJB Lawyers), Jess Thompson (Salle Ranch), Babes Shanko (Brian and Brenda Carl) and Cathy Paul (Campbell & Co.).

The KP in 2 prizes on Hole 7 went to Susan Newberry (Quality Contractors) and Deb Winiski (HUB International). Long Putt prizes went to Donna St. Laurent (T & T Liquidation) and Brenda Carl (Thompson Valley Awards). Audrey Rilcoe won the least putt prize by retro with a total of 14 while Wanda Amos scooped the most putt prize with 23.

Another BIG birthday was celebrated this week. Welcome to your 70s, Wanda Amos.

Just a quick remainder that the Cancer Fun(d) Night is Aug. 17, and the Club Championship will be held on Sept. 11 (Saturday).

If you are wanting information on either event feel free to contact Deb Rainer, myself or Chinook Cove Golf. See you at the course.
