The large wood marlin that someone put a lot of work into, and kindly mounted on the dock at Leonie Lake, has been torn down and burned. This is shameful vandalism and the fishing and recreation community who use that area are extremely upset. Foam Fest at Sun Peaks on June 17 offered a five-kilometre course that included 22 obstacles, one being the world’s largest inflatable waterslide, along with 2.5 million cubic feet of foam through which participants had to battle their way through. A number of area residents took part in the fun.
