The District of Barriere standing committees have been appointed for 2011. They are as follows:
• Community Services: Chair - Councillor Glanville; members - Councillor Paula, Councillor Smith, and Councillor Stamer.
• Finance & Audit & Parcel Tax Roll Review: Chair - Councillor Paula; members - Councillor Kershaw, and Councillor Glanville.
• First Nation Liaison: Chair - Mayor Fennell; members - Councillor Kershaw, and Councillor Smith.
• Integrated Community Sustainability Education: Chair - Councillor Kershaw; members - Councillor Smith, Councillor Stanley, Tina Donald (Simpcw First Nation), Bill Humphreys, and Margaret Houben.
• Parks: Chair - Councillor Stanley; members - Councillor Smith, Councillor Kershaw, and Councillor Stamer.
• Public Works & Development: Chair - Councillor Stamer; members - Councillor Glanville, Councillor Kershaw, Councillor Paula, and Councillor Stanley.
• Economic Development: Chair - Mayor Fennell; members - Councillor Stamer, and Eldon Law.
• Wellhead Protection: Chair - Councillor Stamer; members - Councillor Paula, Councillor Stanley, Chris Matthews, and Ken Beharrell.
• Cemetery Committee: Chair - Councillor Paula; members - Councillor Smith.
