Barriere man arrested on outstanding warrants

Kamloops and Barriere RCMP report they have been successful in locatingand arresting Gerald Koester of Barriere.

On the afternoon of November 25, 2018, the Kamloops RCMP in coordination with the Barriere RCMP arrested 45-year-old Gerald Koester of Barriere.

Koester was held in custody on an unendorsed Barriere warrant for offenses including Criminal Harassment, two counts of breaking and entering, contravening a Firearms Act regulation, and possession of property obtained by crime.

Koester was also arrested for an endorsed Mission RCMP warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

As a result of circumstances at the time of the arrest, Koester was also charged with breach of recognizance.

Koester was held in custody for a court appearance the following day.
