BC Coroners Service identifies deceased snowmobiler

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man

who died following a snowmobiling incident near Clearwater on Feb. 17,

2013.

He was Kelvin Victor Bell, aged 50, of Hardisty, Alberta, a community

in east-central Alberta.

Mr. Bell was one of a group of snowmobilers who had spent the day of

Feb. 17 snowmobiling in the mountainous area northwest of Clearwater.

While heading down the mountain in the late afternoon, Mr. Bell lost

control of his snowmobile, which hit a large tree. Mr. Bell was

deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Bell has been notified of his death. On behalf of

family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect

their privacy at this difficult time.
