The BC Coroners Service and Kamloops RCMP are asking for assistance in identifying a manwho was found dead in Kamloops on Feb. 21.

The man was found by passersby in a wooded area off Rose Hill Road, an area known to be popular with hikers and dog-walkers.

He is believed to have died within the previous 48 hours of being found and foul play has been ruled out in this death.

The man was white and had blue eyes. He stood six feet tall and weighed 195 pounds (89 kilograms).

He was wearing a black Raising the Roof toque, a grey and brown Navajo-style patterned Wind River jacket, a black sweatshirt with “Talisman Energy” on the right sleeve, a blue dress shirt, Denver Hayes blue jeans, black rubber boots, a black leather belt and a silver Timex watch.

Anybody with information regarding the man’s identity is asked to call the BC Coroners Service at 250-861-7429, the Kamloops RCMP at 250 828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
