Celebration of Life on Saturday for Skye and Courtney Buck

Clearwater couple lost when vehicle plunged into North Thompson River to be remembered

    The families have announced that there will be a Celebration of Life for Skye, Courtney and Baby Boy Buck on Saturday, Dec. 15, 1 pm at Clearwater Secondary School Gymnasium.

A reception will follow, hosted by the Clearwater Secondary and Raft River Elementary School’s Parents Advisory Councils.

As per families’ wishes there will not be an open microphone at the service.The families welcome written messages and cards at the service.

The families very much appreciate and wish to thank you for your donations.Skye and Courtney had many family and friends worldwide. For those who cannot attend the celebration a recording will be posted for viewing on-line. Further details will follow.

Given the high numbers of people planning to attend, organizers have arranged for two busses from Yellowhead Community Services to provide a shuttle service.

The circle area in front of CSS will be for pick up / drop off service only. The shuttle service to run every five minutes. The loop will pick up in the following parking areas and in this order.

Organizers hope that people will try and make arrangements to car pool where possible.

• Strawberry Moose - pick up at back entry door

• Information Centre - pick up at entry door

• Jim’s (park in lot closest to Clearwater Valley Road)- pick up at Greyhound delivery spot

• Clearwater Lodge - pick up at front door

• Weyerhaeuser Park (and road leading to the park) - pick up at park

• Courthouse - pick up at parking lot entrance

• Medical Centre - pick up parking lot entrance• Caboose - pick up at entrance

• Ace Western - pick up at driveway entrance closest to Sportsplex

• Sportsplex - pick up by barricades in front of building

• Rotary Sportspark - pick up skateboard area

The shuttle service will start at 12 noon and run until 12.55pm. It will resume within 15 to 30 minutes of the end of the service to deliver people back to their vehicles after the service and reception. Please feel free to "flag" down the shuttle if you need. Organizers thank Doug Borrow, Merlin Blackwell and the District of Clearwater for their assistance with plowing. They also thank the local businesses for making the parking areas available.
