It was the hometown team that won the Barriere Secondary Senior Boys Cougar Classic Basketball Tournament last weekend in an incredible final game.

The Barriere team played an AA team of 14 players from Prince George Secondary School in the final, which they won with a score of 98 to 88.

“Our boys were amazing. Holding the lead throughout the game,” commented Barriere Secondary staff person Kristine Luison, “The bleachers were full and the cheering was loud!”

Luison reports the BSS boys are now sitting in first spot in the league, and there is a possibility they could be hosting the Okanagan Championships in Barriere. She promises further information will be soon.
