Family Open House at Barriere Curling Rink this Saturday

If you like curling you will love Feb. 5 as this is National Curling Day in Canada.

The Barriere Recreation Society advise they are inviting the community to come out and join them “in the fantastic sport of curling during the nationwide celebration of curling”.

The society advises they will be hosting an open house for family curling at the Barriere Curling Club from 1 p.m.– 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5. Lessons and equipment will be provided, and anyone wanting to participate just needs to bring clean running shoes.

The afternoon will be thoroughly entertaining for all, and will include curling games, draw to the button contest, a human curling contest, plus plenty of fun, aughter, and prizes. A concession will also be available.

Why not take the whole family and try out a sport that people of all ages can participate in while enjoying an afternoon of fun and entertainment?
