October 10-15 was Fire Prevention Week and Barriere Elementary took part with students participating in a Colouring Contest with one Primary and one Intermediate student to be picked to be Fire Chief for a day.
Congratulations to Payden Irving (Grade 5), and Sebastian Sabyan (Grade 2) for being chosen as Fire Chiefs for Thursday, October 13th. Both were picked up and taken home from school in a Barriere Fire Department fire truck. They even got to use the siren and honk the horn.
