Grants available for youth programs from 911 Golf

Funds raised in the 2012 911 Golf Tournament Funding earmarked for supporting youth programs within the community of Barriere

If you haven’t picked up an application from the Barriere RCMP Detachment front counter to apply for youth program funding you are missing a good opportunity.

Funds raised in the 2012 911 Golf Tournament Funding have been earmarked to be used for supporting youth programs within the community.  The deadline for applications has been changed to Dec. 3, 2012, at 4 p.m.

RCMP Cpl. Darin Underhill encourages anyone who needs funding for any youth related event, function or project  to please apply.

“It is also important that people realize it doesn’t have to be used immediately, but should be used by next year,” said Underhill,  “We are looking at giving out around $5,000 in the area.  I know there are a lot of people looking for funding so even if they think they may not qualify, please apply, you may just end up with some money.”
