Chelsea Harris was born and raised in Barriere.

In 2013 she started a business within the community called Sowilo Health and Wellness.

In 2019, Harris made the move to Kamloops to expand her business, and opened the doors on her birthday (June 11, 2019) in a unique way of giving back to both the Barriere and Kamloops communities.

Harris donated all her time and proceeds earned on the June 11 opening day of her business to the Barriere Anti-Violence Advocates Society and the Kamloops Women’s Shelter.

“Thank you Chelsea Harris for your generous donation and commitment to Barriere, and in particular to the Anti Violence Society’s Respectful Relationship Program,” said Anti-Violence Advocates Society representative Barb Gordon last week while accepting the donation from Harris.
