Berni Easson, longtime director of clinical operations for community and primary care in the Thompson and South Cariboo regions, is retiring from Interior Health (IH) this month, though her last day of work was on May 29.
Easson spent 33 years serving in the healthcare system and was considered a leader in the IH west rural operations portfolio. According to a release, she was an advocate for the provision of equality in service in remote communities and is known for her creative approach in finding solutions that work locally.
